Simply Spiced Pecans: Recipe of the Week

We are nuts about this simply yummy recipe!

Wow it is finally December! As we wrap up the year our amount of free time dwindles away so we thought it would be fitting to pick an easy recipe for you to try! These spiced pecans are a perfect addition to a salad or topping for cinnamon rolls or have a bowlful at your holiday party. Did you know pecans can improve your love life? Yes, it’s absolutely true! Pecans provide our bodies with 10% of the Recommended Daily Value for zinc. And when your body has a sufficient amount of zinc it can produce testosterone easily which helps boost both men and women’s sex drives. Use pecans in the next meal you share with your partner. From the kitchen of: C.W. Worth House Bed and Breakfast


  • 4 cups of pecan halves, the fresher the better
  • 2 tablespoons (1/4 stick) butter (optional unsalted)
  • 4 teaspoons ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper or to taste
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 300℉.  Place pecans in medium bowl.  Melt butter in small saucepan and add cumin and cayenne and mix well.  Pour over pecans.  Add sugar and salt stir to coat.
Transfer to rimmed baking sheet and bake until nuts are toasted, stirring occasionally, about 20 minutes.
Let cool and enjoy!
