Recipe of the Week: Monster Eyes

Happy Halloween from the C.W. Worth House!

BOO! Happy Halloween week from all of us here at C.W. Worth House Bed and Breakfast!  This is an easy appetizer for a spooky party or any time.

Recipe: Monster Eyes (Scary Sausage Biscuits)

From the kitchen of: C.W. Worth House Bed and Breakfast

Yield: About 4 1/2 dozen              Prep time: 20 min.                 Cook time: 18 min per batch

Ingredients:

  • 3 c. all purpose baking mix (Bisquick)
  • 1 lb. ground hot (or sweet or a mix of both) pork sausage, room temperature
  • 8 oz shredded Muenster cheese or mixed shredded cheeses
  • 1 (7 oz jar) pimento- stuffed Spanish olives, drained

~Eye~ don’t know about you but I can’t wait to get started!

First in a large bowl, combine baking mix, sausage, and cheese and blend well. Shape sausage mixture into 1 1/4 inch balls, and place on lightly greased baking sheets; press to flatten slightly.  Press 1 olive deeply into the center of each ball.

Bake at 400 degrees for 15-18 minutes or until lightly browned and sausage is cooked through,
